That'a a Wrap!

Three days, seven screenings, Film Talks, guest speakers, ShortsFest prizes awarded to two films shot on Whidbey -- The Hour After Westerly and The Trouble with Cameos, parties, lunches, Red Carpet glamour, and over 150 people at each screening -- what an extraordinary way to celebrate our festival's first anniversary!

The great success of our film festival would not be possible without our audiences and some very important friends, champions, sponsors, and community partners.

We'd like to extend special thanks to Jim DrakeRichard Evans, Tim EverittSue Frause, and Robert Horton for their marvelous film introductions; Rosemarie and Vince Keenan for their fantastic talk about Edith Head; wonderful panelists Nate BellJane CharlesAmy LillardAndrew Morehouse, and Sherrye WyattZachary Schneider for curating ShortsFest; Dave Gignac for the amazing portraits in the Festival Lounge and Jacki Stewart for the charming Rear Window vignettes in the theater; and the tireless Festival Volunteers that took such good care of us.

Thanks are also due to our generous Sponsors KCTS9Whidbey Telecomthe City of Langley, and Island County; and our Community Partners: Film Freeway, Moonraker Books, Sound Publishing, Washington Filmworks, Whidbey & Camano Tourism, and Whidbey Weekly.

We'd also like to acknowledge the Whidbey Island Center for the Arts Board of Directors and Staff for their dedication and commitment to the festival and the incredible community members who support the work of the arts center through their donations and countless volunteer hours.

We hope you enjoyed "The Master of Suspense" as much as we did and look forward to seeing you again at WICA very soon!
